Well I heard a musician friend using one in a pub the other week and it sounded really good!! If you go somewhere bigger you can always mic it up or connect it to the PA if they have one. You can do loops up to 40secs long, so if you want to do longer loops I'd check out one of the actual loop pedals

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to trouble you, bu ... Would the Roland AC33 be loud enough in a small club or café? And how long can you produce loops with the built in looper? Thanks in advance.

thanks Thorston, sounds like you'd really enjoy using a looper!

For this song I just used the looper that's on my amp (the Roland AC33) which you can control with a footswitch, but I do have the Boss RC20XL which has more functions (undo, reverse, different ways to stop, being able to save loops) I think that one isn't made anymore, the updated one is the RC30 I think.

The Boss RC3 and the Akai Headrush are worth looking at depending what functions you need and how much you want to spend. If you have lots to spend there's also the Digitech Jamman...

This one is my favourite on the compilation. I love songs where melodies are layered above each other. Think I'll get a looper soon too. Which one do you use?
