Ceramic Body Guitar Demo - CBG - Cigar Box Guitar Inspired

Hello my friends, it's been a long time since I posted. After many attempts at building a full fledged 4 string CBG with a ceramic body, I finally got a body that made it through the kiln firings without warping or cracking. I finished this up a couple months ago but was too busy with the holiday rush on my business to make a video of this guitar until now. I hope you enjoy it. Music starts 45 seconds in, and there's a slide show of pictures I took along the making process. Thanks for watching!

That thing sounds killer good.   Nice playing, slides and again, killer good tone.

Thank you Dano! I appreciate it. You should see some of the ceramic bodies that didn't make it through. They would have been beautiful. I put a ton of time into carving and decorating them. Then they went in the trash. :( So when it came to trying out a new building technique for the guitar body, I did minimal work on decorating this one. I left the canvas texture on the clay from my slab roller and just used a blue stain on it. It totally looks like demin. It's a bit odd and not much of a looker, but it's a great player which makes it beautiful to me. :D

Such a beauty, Janis!  Kiln firings are where the gremlins get in, glad you found a way to keep them out of this one. Great technique on supporting & attaching the soundboard.  Blue glaze kinda' looks like denim - forever in bluejeans.  And a Big 10-4 on the MTV!
