Nice work again. Love those pickups.

Over here in central Europe people are not at all familiar with our addiction to CBG, it would be cool to surprise them... What do you think?

Don't know if it works in CE the way it does over here, but the first person who introduces something new (and is also exceptionally good at it) usually becomes the "Big Name" and the person everyone else tries to imitate. Might want to suggest that to your reluctant friend.

Somebody has to be the star performer. Why not him? ;-)

thanks again! I have been trying to convince Chris to do some recording and to put it on a CD .. I haven't been lucky so far. Over here in central Europe people are not at all familiar with our addiction to CBG, it would be cool to surprise them... What do you think?

Man, I like your gits, materials and sounds.  Love the selector switch.  Slow blues good.

thanks for your comments! The tone-pot isn't installed yet, I think then the marriage goes honeymoon

I've always personally preferred the sound of a magnetic pickup over most piezos. Because the raw piezo sound always seemed (to me) to be a little harsh and hard to control. But mixed in with that flatpup, it's a marriage made in heaven. Adds just the right amount of sizzle to that unique sound you already get out of the flatpup. (And I'm sure having somebody who plays it well also has a lot to do with it.) Love it!

Eastwood guitars does a similar thing with their Folkstar resonator guitar except they let you dial-in the ratio of humbucker to piezo with a mix knob. There's a YouTube video with Mason Stoops demonstrating it that's pretty impressive and might offer some ideas for CBG builders. (See it here: http://youtu.be/ByAWTFmOd0Q )
