4 string cigar box resonator guitar. Marshall MS-2 1 watt amp. It's almost summer and i'm sick of playing in the house! Now I can do campfire jams and not be drowned out by the Dreadnought Army or just wander about and play up on the farm.

Great playing. I like the way you mixed traditional strumming, picked notes, and slide.

Thanks Darryl and Beetlejuice and Uncle John...i appreciate the listen and feedback. Can't take credit for the build tho. I love the mobility the MS-2 provides but the tone is a bit crispy for me. Wish it a had a gain control. Playing a 4 string in open G is all new to me but i'll get better if I stay at it. Mostly I like being able to play outside for a change. I think i'll be able to get a lot cooler stuff out of it in my recording studio. I posted some of my guitar stuff/original songs I've done there. Hope to write a decent CBG song soon.

Well, first off.  Cool window/door shed.  Great looking reso.  Good playing.  Nice little portable amp.

Reminds me a lot of the sound Ron Wood would play for Rod Stewart in the group Small Faces back in the day. Love the playing and presentation, and that set up rocks, sounds great Pine!

Thanks AGP...CBG's are cool in a lot of ways but unamplified volume is not their strong suit. This resonator is especially quiet unplugged but when amped, it sounds neat. The day may come when i'll need that 100 watt Marshall just to hear it at all!

"Sounds Fine Pine", I have no problem hearing it, although I have the same lack of hearing symptoms, I usually just crank the volume up (much to the dislike of neighbours and family) or put my hearing aids in, which also like you, I'm not fond of wearing, nice looking Reso and well played, would love to hear it through a 100w Marshall.  :-D

I love this CBG resonator.. but I have "moderately severe" hearing loss and just can't hear it very well. I have a Vox headphone amp which I love but I get sick of wearing earbuds or headphones. This is a great option. The clean channel is pretty nice. The distortion is either "On" or "off". The "full stack" MS-2 has a gain control., but it's bigger. This, obviously, is the distortion channel. I'm just now learning to play CBG and trying to learn the "open G" tuning.
