Getting closer to perhaps how an alutec works?
Strange phenomena using just a jack plug, it becomes an electronic pick up when using a NI magnet in its packet on a CD over 2 strips of seperated foil. The jack is used as a bridge. It does works without the CD as well.
With the earth of the jack touching one side of the foil and the magnet between the other end and foil.
But only works when using the clear packaging for the magnet, touching the jack end.
Sorry for the poor video .
Weird sunday night test findings.
Has any one cracked a capacitance pickup yet.

I'm hoping with a flux capacitor attached I can play my way back in time, to go get some cheap vintage guitars....!

Stick a NI mag in a bag on the end of your jack plug! (i'm not being rude) Still not sure why it works but it does

Bug, have you been hitting the sauce and watching 'Back to the Future' ?

I've just ordered a pair of Vintage '59 PAFs for my cutlery box so please don't tell me that coils are old hat.  It's bad enough finding out that cardboard has replaced wooden boxes !

Yea that's  what I posted , pulse width modulation.

Digly I would too ,but hope to have a working prototype
By the end of the week.
I doubt this will replace a coil pup
But I think I have found a way to make a non coil
Pickup.
But it may need pulse width modulation..
Which I probably can't sort.

It's a work in progress lol
But I have made significant advances this morning
Have a look at capacitance wall switches

It looks like a 'work in progress' - think I'll stick with humbuckers for now :-)
