I like seeing your demos too Poorness. The video process is different also.  Such variety. Such talent on display on Nation.

I always think its interesting to see people's building processes. Everyone does things a little differently.

Thanks Danny. I’m slow. Fewer builds is a goal. I’ll have to reorganize to fit this one in. :^)

Banjos need to be screwed or pinned together. You have to take the neck off to put a new skin on it. I like glue for guits and fiddles. But screws work too. Each to his own way.

Dave, point taken. I don't know where Alice is, (Unc knows), however you can color me Warped in Wonderland. I've always glued my necks in, been lucky, but for my rocket i dry fitted it and strung up the E's for alignment and action. Pain in the butt. Correct me if I'm wrong, however, but with a cello isn't there a second fingerboard for fretless fretting? If so, then gluing the neck wouldn't be an issue as fine adjustments can be made with the angled fingerboard? so gluing the neck shouldn't be an issue? Also, just my warped thinking, i never really liked screw on necks, CBGs or strats. The glue makes two pieces one. fasteners are fast, but glue will last. There I go again. I do, however, entertain the idea of being able to take things like the neck apart again, to adjust. Salt and pepper to taste.

Thanks AGP. I like this site to learn from. It’s like a free college education. The Hobo’s College. Like you say, “just screw it”.

Where would we be without Wood Glue & Clamps?, and as Andries comment suggests, pretty much a universal way of Boxing the Neck, and like he, I usually don't glue the Neck in, but prefer to screw it, so I can take it apart, and do any future modifications, have been enjoying your building method Vid's, it's always interesting to see how other builders go about their work, ans as much as people (like me) think they know it all, there's always something new to learn from others!  :-)
