I use my first and second finger as per usual for bass. I'm going to put a pair of bass pickups in it though. Piezo isn't great for bass because bass is quite clacky and fret-noisy.

And Uncy J, I dropped into our specialist bass shop today to show them and the verdict was best custom bass they've seen in years but I had to also suffer a lot of book puns there too :)

It sounded even better through the bass amp, rather than the computer (Guitar Rig). The bottom end could be really huge just by pushing it up on the3 band EQ and leaving the amp flat. It was quite surprising to me - I expected I might have to add a magnetic pickup to get a good sound. But the piezo did a great job, apart from the string and handling noise you always get with them.

You've turned a new page in the CBG world.  You can't tell a book by it's cover, but this edition sounds good.
