Yeah? I just looked up some balalaika tunings on the Net....depending on the size (prima is most common) they are traditionally tuned E-E-A, (3,2,1 string, low to high), or sometimes G-B-D like a Russian guitar. But G-D-g should work, too.

Its tuned Gdg all I could think of at the time and I did not kill a string as I never tuned or tryed to play one before and I need to have a look at the tuning and scale but I think GDg works I am guessing its an open tuning;-)
