A Satellite Dish Stand-Up Bass
Yes, my lovely wife had her birthday! Something on her wish list was a bass for a long time. I don't know if she expected a big creature like this one... So here's one of my Triple Chaos projects:
The bass was made out of 4 component's: A Satellite disk (that I took of our house), the back of an old chair, a corner post of a cabinet that our neighbours wanted to get rid of and a few pieces of hardwood that came (as many times) from the showroom samples that a friend gave me a long time ago. I extended it with a bridge piezo and pre-amp, the strings were 12 Euro. (but I have still 2 left to make an other bass instrument).
