Hey Norm thanks for the comments on my reso. The tuning is simple 1-5-1 depending on string gauge that could be GDG or in this case (because I used light gauge strings A-E-A) As far as learning finger style bottle neck slide guitar, I am a faithful follower of Brother Keni Lee Burgess. I actually sent him a video as I was working up this song and he did a lesson on how to take Shortnin' Bread to the next level. You might email Keni here on the nation his stuff is great.

Jim, this is excellent stuff! What tuning is it in? I have to learn this song. I have a video of me playing my 4 string reso on my page - http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/norm-on-open-mic - spot the faux pas at the end where I forget to unplug. You are right, reso's aren't for everyone. I consider myself a journeyman at the moment and on the way to learning fingerstyle.

Wow Jim! This presentation does my heart good. Your playing has improved so much since we first started talking. You got those finger picks working too. Can't beat them for tone and volume on a reso. Additionally, you are really getting the finer details of resonator construction down to produce an instrument with a good tone. Owning one of your 4 strings reso CBGs, I can highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fully fuctional piece of art. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.
