I agree with your assessment of the country and I see it 5 days a week when I'm busy hawking my instruments while "on the clock" working for the Mall at the same time.
This weekend was a perfect example of what your talking about.97% of the tourists were window shoppers that wanted to haggle on prices.
I'm already "haggled" as low as I can go and still make a decent profit on my time and investment.LOL

Thank you for your comment about my busking video. Actually this guitar is very light. I think the box is pine. It kind of breaks the rule. Usually wood reso are built from ply because the cross grain makes it sturdier or solid hardwood, but I think the builder, Jimmy Millinchuk reglued this box so tight, is just will not move and sends all the sound out the cone.

Thank you for your interest in the group and reply. Certainly any instructional videos you could supply or any material you can encourage other players to post, I know will be greatly appreciated. Enjoy.

Thank you for becoming a member of the "How To Play CBG" Group. Are you going to post an instructional video or are you a viewer seeking lessons? Please respond. It is my hope and intention to encourage the "wealth of talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skills to further the CBG movement. Please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions and please invite any players who you feel may contribute to this group. Enjoy, Keni Lee

Spencer, you commented about wanting a Las Cabrillas cigar box. They are on ebay quite often, that is where I got mine. The trick is to win one with a low bid that doesn't have a high shipping and handleing charge.Got mine for around $6 including S&H.

Thanks for the compliment Spencer. I found two display cases in the alley by the dumpster and removed the displays. Nice and lightweight. Wish I knew where to get more.

Okay, sorry about the misunderstanding. Actually being able to play percussive instruments is a great benefit to a string instrument player. Building poly-rhythms is the secret to getting those funky grooves going. It is definitely to your advantage. Enjoy.

Yes, they are clearly two different styles, flat picking and finger picking. With fingerpicking, once you can get you thumb on auto pilot and use your first two fingers to pick out the treble notes, it all starts to fall into place. Just take your time and enjoy the practice.

Thank you Spencer for your interest. I think you will find the instructional video CDs helpful to clarify the fingerboard of an open tuned instrument and help you to understand how to figure out and create complete arrangements of song yourself. I personally have discovered that if you work on a song over time, it changes and improve as you find new ideas on the fingerboard. Enjoy.

Hey Spencer. I saw that you commented on the sipsey steel. I'm the guy that makes'em. They do have inlayed pearl markers. The price tag on these things are from $975 to $1275 for the first batch. Check out my page.
