My Wife lost her battle with Cancer today at 3:30 PM. She died in my arms just after I whispered it was OK to go to sleep. They took her away in a beautiful White Hearse .We've been together at work and at play, side by side for almost 35 years. It's a very empty world right now.

Just as I seemed to get better with my medical problems my wife seemed to falter as she took care of me.We now find she has lung and bone cancer, stage 4.We tried chemo and radiation but she was already so weak we had to stop treatments and bring her home.Hospice is now helping me care for her and I'm on medical leave so I can stay home with her.As it stands ,although we know the eventual outcome we try to keep things here at home as normal as possible. But ,its hard, very hard.

And it occurred to me that I can still sand,stain/paint and assemble CBG's. I just cant cut out the necks right now.
So if somebodies interested in maybe rough cutting out say, ten very simple necks maybe we could work something out where I can finish the necks and still stay in business a bit.
No expensive wood, maybe even fir without knots in it.
Any ideas Guys?

This is to all my customers and friends I've made over the years building and selling CBG's
I am (at least temporarily) going out of the CBG business due to health issues that will not allow me to do the wood cutting needed to build.I have an illness that causes my arms and legs to spasm or jerk making it impossible to safely cut wood now days.
I'll still be in the site here from time to time and hope to stay in contact with all the great folks I've met.

Thanks for the invite mate to be honest i thought you were already in my list of freinds .. well you are now
Cheers mate
juju.
Just wanted to say "thanks." You've been more than generous with your comments about what you do and how you do things. It's been very helpful to me. I belong to an "art guild" in Mesa, Az. I used to make pens on my lathe, but now I make CBG's. I will be selling them at our street 2nd Friday art exhibition and street selling thing. Your info has been invaluable to me. I only sell my CBG's to finance my passion, I make dulci-guitars for kids with autisim. These kids get 'music therapy' which is good, mostly clapping and rhythm, but with a dulci gutiar, they can't play a wrong note, instant success for kids who have a hard time communicating. Selling CBG's pays for the dulci's I give to the kidfs. Your info is gold. You've taught me A LOT about retail and how to make this work. Thanks, pardner.
Rock on....Pete
