Can ah just add, that one of the best things ah done in a while was join CB Nation. Ah've hardly picked up a conventional 6 string, tho ah have MANY! (ah collect).
Ah MIGHT be out of order, but I find a certain competiveness amongst "normal" 6 string players. Here on our site, there is a community spirit ah have NOT found before amonst fellow players. Some of the uplaod (includin MINE), are just "havin a laugh", and that is sooo good. Ah DO hoe ta met some of you, guys, but more likely ta be ma fellow UK players, as USA etc not within budget etc, for now. If anyone travellin Glasgow way, let me know, and we can arrange a meet.If ya ever "stuck" as we say here, and need help, and im ma neck of woods, let me know. Have a great weekend, and that;s ma seriosu stuff over for now, guys LOL
Ah will do, Strat of 9 (ah'm a "Voyager fan lol). Yes, little sad moments allowable, but life is for GRABIBIN' by the "proverbials", and those gone would want us ta LIVE, not cry.
Rain gives way ta sunshine, and yer son will have his baseball game, even if need be postponed for now.
Everythin passes, and on a Saturday night in Glasgow, everythin (and EVERYONE) "PASSES OUT" LOL. I will give Townes song 100% respect, and will be on a three or 4 stringer. Have a good weekend Strat, am man. Anythin here in Glasgow ya want (applies tae all the the USA/ Canadian/abroad guys, let me know. Nothin too big or prciesy BTW (ah ah'm SCOTTISH lol). BTW, "meanness" is just a myth. (I won't mention Edinburgh, as a few members maybe from there lol)Ya won't find more generous people than us Scots. especially Glaswegians
What WOULD feel right is sittin listenini ta Townes sing it LIVE; but not gonna happen (in THIS lifertime). Great that ya honourin the man, Strat.
Kickin masel TWICE as hard for not goin ta see him in Glasgow when ah had the chance. If I rememeber, there was bills ta pay etc, and of course, would not have gone ta see the man without raising a glass ta him (probably about TEN glasses lol) . Ya don't know what you've got 'till its gone (Joni). Respect ta yer Granda, ma Granda, and ALL those gone. We'll meet again (Vera Lynn). Not bein funny )-:
Strat, ma man. Ye must be hittin those auld malts that yer Granda taught ye tae love.( He must have been a wise man, tae realise the important thkngs in life; SERIOUS respect 100% tae him). Whit lanuage is THAT at end of yer cooment ?! Swahili?! LOL
Yes, ah'll do ye a Townes song , but only take it if its good enough, not because ah offer ya 50 bucks lol. Give me a few days, ma man. And ah'll support the project any way ah can BTW. Ah, Townes, ma man................. RESPECT :)
Ron, ma man. You are a connoseiur, lad. LOL. Yes, a malt is lovely. Gelnmorangie and a few others you mention I have tried, obviously.
You should try Bruichladdich, a god wee single malt form Islay (ah got bottle as a present a while back). Ah don't drink much whisky now, but have a selection of miniture whisky still ta drink (got at Xmas).
As kids in Scotland, when we had a really bad cold or flu, we would get a wee "toddy" from our parents (whisky, hot water, and sugar). But we didnae care what make the whisky was!!! LOL. Your dad has installed a sense of finesse in you, Ron :). BTW, When next in Scotalnd, let me know, Jim
You know a lot more about whisky than me, ma man. I now bestow on you the titke of MOST Honourary SCOT LOL, Cheers, Jim
ANY booze is ma favorite tipple, Ron LOL. Ta be honest, ah mostly drink wine now, relaxin wi ma girlfriend. I am not a great beer or lager drinker. Mostly shorts thru the years (whisky, dark rum, vodka, etc). Used ta like Drambuie, Glayva, when younger, but find a bit too sweet now if drink more than two glasses (as one does LOL). Ah drink whsky NEAT, like wot it should be drunk LOL. Funnily enough , not keen AT all on vodka now. Don't get a Scotsman talkin aboot his drink , you will be here aw day LOL. Offline soon , Ron, cacth ya later.
And ye don''t even bothhr tae get up again, is that it>!Trades desription act. ma man, may I remid ya.
fight enough, ah call maself a "comic" so, as ah rarely make folks laugh, ah might be subject tae a bit of that "Trades Desciption Act" regulation maseld, LOL. Catch ya later Ron. I'll be back online for a wee while around 4.30. , and then AH ned tae lie down, rest before a night of debauchery (aye, in ma dreams LOL). But WILL be online the odd time now and then over weekend, so maybe catch ye then, if you are online yerself. , Jim
Ron, ah see a comment in ma yahoo mail that ah can't find on the site here.
So, ye are a fellow stand up ( we are both "stand up" guys then LOL).
On youtube, send friends request ta Shuggy Dylan (the "carnival ran away and joined me" boy LOL). just type in shuggydylan (only WAN of him! LOL) Ma normal channel, is "jamiegtr2007", or ah'll send you request, sub etc.
Ta for friends request here on CBN. Ah though ah had sent YOU one first!; must have got mixed up (MEANT ta sent you one).Cheers, ma man;)
Thanks for the encouragement. Cold Cereal Blues will be my first recording. I'm not much for singing and playing so I'm practicing old school. Clapping the rhythm and singing. I'll b able to add the guitar in soon.
Hi Oily great to have you on board the ol' Slowpaw Bus! (-: CD's can be purchased via paypal and i can post to you...anywhere, the sound quality on these is better than download (-:
Wow man! Aren't you cool! After my misunderstanding I bucked. Yet you are still nice! Says a lot about you. THANK YOU! A broken bat git would be cool! But it's out of my league. I really am just a singer/songwriter just getting by on all the Other jobs. IE playing, producing, promoting, videos, thinking I can build, etc etc lol! Thanks again!

Ron, the harp sounded good. That would make a good video - whether you can do harp on harness or sans harp.
OHHH!!! Love the Glass is empty song on this page. Singing, playing, harp. Who is on harp?
