Do you have any recording of your lap steel? If so I would like to here it, That thing look great. I found a hunk of wood that is going to be one soon.
hi friend, i'm wondering if you would post more pics of the mk2 fretbender. i'd like to build one and would like to see the back of the tool and some specs if possible. how far apart are the bearings spaced and what size diameter are they ? also how big is the wheel ? i'd be glad for the info. thanks garth in new orleans
Juju, it's always a pleasure when you stop by and check out my vids, thanks for watching brother! I thank I have said it already, but I will say it again, that tricone you built is freaking beautiful, great job!
Thanks for posting the pic of the innards of the reso, it's cool to see how other builders over come different situations. I'm so glad Redd got over there and made you gitbox sing for ya, we as builders and not so much players, (although I think you do just fine), need to be assured we're on the right track. Saturday I went to see a show and was hoping to get some video of one of my gitboxes but the guy didn't even bring it and although they had a full house and everyone was dancin' there asses off, I didn't get my video. I'm gonna take your lead and just put one together myself. Got the Chickenhead reso wired up and I'll have a sound check up soon. I'm really looking forward to getting some of your cones, trying to find a supplier of 6in cones has been frustrating and scoring some 4in cones would be dreamy indeed, I just love the reso sound. Keep in touch.
Yes it's been a while due to some hard times but i'm okay now ;) thanks for asking my friend.
Those little 4" cones are a cool solution to the box size problem and sound great too, i was expecting a very different sound than a regular tricone due to the smaller cones but it's realy not that far off! I bet even Don Young would say so!
Tell me, will you be selling the cones? I have been toying around with the idea of a tricone cbg and since you beat me to it might aswell ask you to spin them for me hehehe
Thank you for your response. Your Tricone reminds me of the 2 big single cone CBGs that Jimmy Millinchuk built for me. In open tuning with a slide, this is the weapon of choice for the noisy streets. A regular acoustic won't cut through and who wants to be lugging a battery powered amp along too. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.

thanx for the kind words! i havent been able to get that tune out of my head for a few days now myself!
"early morning blues", dang sweet! ...amazing audio capture..!!!! "The reso Blues" WOW......astounding, too....what a blues feel!.....but that reso's not the latest tri cone?
send a heads up, juju, when you get a sound demo, unless I missed it...;-) will love to hear em side by side.....
Thanks again for helping me out. I'm still trying to work out how we can do this, hopefully avoiding inter-continental shipping. Are you familiar with peer-to-peer file sharing? Also, I'll have to send you a release form, which I'll need you to print out, sign, and either fax, scan and email, or post back to me.
Thanks so much for letting me use your music. Do you have anything on CD? I'll have to send you a release form, and I can send a blank DVD as well, to burn the files to. I like to use uncompressed files (not mp3's,) since they'll sound much better.
Hi again. Haha sorry I just found your comment. So these songs on your player are played by you, then? I like them. I definitely like Early Morning Blues, and Reso Blues, as well. Would you be at all interested in having your music featured in an independent documentary?
Hi, thanks for adding me. I'm new to the site and not quite sure how everything works yet. I'm looking for some good music, preferably folk/bluegrass, for a movie I'm making. Any suggestions? I'm looking for something upbeat and rural. (Mumford and Sons, Monsters of Folk, etc.)

Thanx for informing me about the Forstner bit and improving my active technical vocabulary. You've got some nice builds here.

Juju, I'm glad to have you for a nation friend. :)
Hello,
I really admire what you do; are you still building CBG and do you sell it? If you do, what are prices?
I enjoy to hear about you.
Sebien
Thank you Juju!
Yup, another CGB from Portugal ( I really hope so...)
I was truelly inspired from some of your works!
Just on my way to work the ideas, be prepared for some couple of questions, ok?
;-)
Thanks for the birthday wishes J.
Hope you are keeping well.
Hogs.
