If you have access to Pro Tools, then you have all the tools you need ;-) I think a collaboration might be a kick! Let's try one! You can e-mail me files @ oilyfool@yahoo.com. I'm gonna be variably busy the next couple weeks, but let's give it a shot.
OK, got a fast enough 'Net connnection to give things a first listen. My faves are the raves: Born in a Storm has the best lyrics and a great sound (cries out for some lead, though); Ace of Spades has the best driving riff, and possibly the best vocals; understand where you're coming from with Haulin Home; Southern Sons, understand the sentiment, but I honestly think some more work needs done on the vocals. Don't know what you have access to for multi-track recording; Garage Band is my new fave, and it allows some addition of kewl vocal effects. All your tracks could use just a little bit of reverb on the vocals. The stomp percussion is best on Ace of Spades and Born In A Storm, they both sound fab; I agree with HB: BIAS needs to be played loud and grindy. What are you using for an amp? If you have multi-tracked these, is there a chance you could send me mp3 files? I can do some post processing on them that would kick 'em up a notch or two.
Diggin your sounds Leadfoot-'Southern Sons' mixes indie with a nod to the blues-a winning combo in my book.Wouldnt mind hearing 'Born in a Storm' live across a loud PA either!
Ahhh, I see the problem now. I'm viewing the site on an iPad over a fairly slow ADSL connection, and the music never loads. I'll get on the PC, give 'em a listen, and get back to you.
