Fantastic Jim Nice Bulky smood sound on that box piezo working just real fine, got to hand it to ye, Migthy fine Jim ,Mighty Fine, but what in the heck kind of strings did you end up using? They look like some real thick nylon? the fretless neck sounds and plays like a charm by the looks it ! Compliments there Jim on a great Job !! Building and Playing !
Hi there Jim,in reaction to your update on the bassbuilding, i have been looking at strings again and in perticular thickness ,for example if you take a Standart Martin&co acoustic string 6 E Bronze wound INCH 0.47-1.19 mm is about the thickest you get, if you take other brand the are the same all around the 0.47 - and less. Gore, Ernie Ball ,E&O Mari,
Try to look out for brands that have a thicker 6 E i know they go up to 0.52 and look out for silk and steel and nylon & bronze this all for less pulling power! But what am i talking about You Veteran You know all that ,but anyway Good Luck ! Greeettsszzz !
Thanks for getting back to me Jim. if you do make another 3 stringer I would be interested in purchasing it. The tin sounds great without speakers. If possible, could you let me know when you put another together and approximate cost.
THANKS Jim ,well you got some Supurb boxes and UKE's Your self there Jim M dont for get that ,i know its hard sometimes, when i see what all the other guys have ,you get to thinking, but as they say the grass is allways greeener in the Neighbours Garden!!

Greeetsszz

Hope all is well with ya, Jim! Cool, I'm just working on a mountain banjo myself. I used a band of cookie tin, riveted into the shape of a hoop for a tonering. The back layer of the pot creates tension on the head by virtue of the pot. Using the same Foxfire 3 plan that you talked about in your salad bowl mountain banjo Youtube vid. That salad bowl banjo sounds good! Message me some tunes when you get a chance, and I'll get ready for Gardner!
To Bad Jim!,James O told me he still haze a big burll of red that flooted by him, says maybee build something out of that ! but still you got to store that for a long time to let it dry properly before putting any saw to it! i hear they cross a line across the river to catch these flooters, cant wait all day for one to drift on by! is cutting redwood not ellegal? Greeetsszzz

Hi Jim, do you make guitars for sale? I really like the sound from the tin cbg. Great videos!
You made me wonder, i will bee patient, but it needs to bee verry sturdee, for bass strings
better take heavy classic guitar strings Like labella Gold , if i may give you a ideer?
