Thick for a cello, but it has a great mello tone and its strong. Sides are poplar from Menards. 1/4" thick. The back is edging white pine from a timber sawer here in Duluth. My best find is the scrap pile at this yard. Most of my braces, wide boards, exotic wood like mahogany comes from Woodruff Timber. The neck tailpiece and tuners came from China.

Staying in Hostels with a group of other Americans. We were riding bicycles in France, England and Nederlands. Man I loved your country on a bike - no hills! But still I rented a little motorbike, is Broomfitsa the right word or even close? Wish I could get back!
