Rest In Peace, Anonymous Pick. We Lost a Legend.
Just got this email.
This is Valerie, Anonymous Pick’s wife. I'm saddened to tell you Pick passed away October 11at 5pm. I wrote to you on another sight so I hope you get this email. He loved all you guys and making his guitars. Could you please announce this. He asked me to let you know but I couldn't get on Cigar Box Nation.

My heart and prayers go out to you Valerie.
I remember the first time I ran my thumb across all three strings of my swampwitch guitar. It brought a smile to my face. It still makes me smile,,, heck it makes me break out in a big grin. Even now after hearing he has step upstairs I bet we will be hearing angels playing swampwitch guitars.

I'm deeply saddened by this. As a lot of you know I was Pick's biggest fan and have the record of Swampies built by him. Words can't even express what I feel right now. I will do something to honor Pick and talk about the guitars that changed everything for me.

I knew this was coming, but it still hits hard. Anybody know his full name, age or have a photo? He would send packages under his wife's name Val something. Anyone have her last name? I know she is ill and Pick had been her caregiver - until he couldn't.

R.I.P Pick, you are leaving a big hole to fill. Your generosity of spirit, help and advice to newcomers here at CBN was as good as it gets. I know I'll have a thought or 2 every time I pick up my Swampy for a twang. Deepest commiserations to Val on your ,[and our] loss, regards Darryl.
