Servus Eric,

Elmar

hello, i just stopped by to try to answer your question about the neck bending too much when its just a neck only design. first off i think that because its only 3 strings is one reason it don't bend very much, it does tilt the headstock a little though. one other thing is that the angle on the neck helps out some.if the neck was at the same straight across path as the headstock it would bend even more.it has a center connecting block that the neck is screwed to and the headstock is screwed to also.the front of the center block where the neck is connected is tapered just slightly to give a proper neck angle which makes the design a little stronger when it comes to the tension applied from the strings. that is the 2 things that i can think of that gives it more strength than if it was one solid neck through design.it is actually the same piece of wood but is cut into 3 pieces and the one in the center is overlapped buy the 2 outer pieces. sorry for such a long answer but i tried to cover the design as best as i could for you to be able to understand my method.
