Hi Lowatter,

If  you look at my photos, the 1st amp I built was using the kit from CB Gitty in an old humidor I had. Sounds OK. Nice quiet practice amp.

The next 2 amps use the guts from Danelctro Honeytone (available for less than $20, Amazon) I just removed the circuit board ( kinda tricky)and speaker. I then put them in some small boxes I had. I mounted them to a sheet aluminum plate I made. the side plate for the headphones and optional power adapter is made from Formica painted silver.

I reelay like how these sound. You get lots of sound range by adjusting the 3 controls (volume, tone and overdrive) With things cranked up, these are pretty loud, Won't wake the neighbors, but the rest of the house will here it.

Quinn and Stewart:  Two famous Marthas.  Martha Quinn was one of the original MTv VeeJays.  Martha Stewart is the "ultimate hostess".

I was just being silly.

thanks man,i have done the dog dish thing for a resonator several times and they have a good representation for resonator tone. lots of learning with each and every build, but my favorites are still the resonator builds because it is more of a challenge to get correct in more ways than one.

i asked for permission to copy the f-hole pattern too,you are more than welcome to use any ideas or designs that you find on any of my work, thanks for the compliment of picking out this design to use.the tobacco sunburst was done with real tobacco mixed with h2o and applied with a piece of foam.as far as resonator design applications i have used lots of different things.for the most recent resonator designs i have used flat metal plates bolted to the top of the box from the inside of the lid.i have used tin metal copper metal and brass metal for the most recent plate resonators.i like the tone of the brass the best, for a great spun cone in brass--- look for a guy named Old Lowe from texas,he is a member here and has brass resonator cones for sale at a great price.very affordable at 25 or 35 bucks with 2 size cone options---a 6 in. cone or a 9 in. cone.the cone application mounts to the top of the box and is a great design. thanks again, hope some of this info gets you good results with your resonator project.
