Yep banjo mandolin also around here we call them jam busters because they are so loud.

There were thousands made in the 30s and 40s, very common. I've got three or four of em..

could be , gift from a friend who found it in her attic. it's all there ,no strings or bridge tho' but there is a skin. she had never seen it before and has lived in the house for at least 20 years...
