Built entirely from salvaged materials with only hand tools. There is a hand-wound mag pup hid under the top (pole pieces are peeking out). No stains applied, only clear over natural aging

Thank you all for the comments! I do agree with you Unc, the ball ends are throwing off the "period" look of this one. The sides of the body were built from some weathered fence pickets, top and bottom are scrap plywood that has been outside in a wood pile for years. Neck material came from an old dresser that was falling apart. Fingerboard is an old yardstick. Surprisingly, from all the sCRAP it's put together with, it's pretty loud unplugged

Once in a while I see an old Coke or Pepsi wooded container for bottles.  One of those in rough shape would make some cool box sides on the order of what you have done here.

Geez - those colorful balls sure riled ol' Uncle John!  Enough to demote 162 to 126!  That's 22.222%

Nice relic, CVXII!

I've just sat here and looked at this one for a half minute or more.  A half point deduction for the brightly colored string ball ends and then the rest is just what a cbg should  look like.   Sucker looks like it ought to have a hundred stories in it and personal name or two.  Scrappy is not bad at all.   But she is obviously female.  Sweet Betty?

Gees, 126 paint those colored balls, man!
