She’s old boyz! I took the nut off to shim it up a tad with a bone saddle thinned to raise my action just a little. This is first through third frets.

I think you are right Mike. And i’ll do my best to love her some more.

Thanks Uncle John. She plays sweet with my nut shim in place. Slide is the way.

Yup, the Maddog is right.  Lots of play and love.  I have never seen such deep finger wear.   Great for slide.

Thanks Maddog. I love your new builds. The cavalcade is awesome. I love the new Whiskey box except the bullet. I’m just not a bullet guy. I’m shot.

Cheese Wizz Brian. The shim has worked out well. I went with Mahogany for the shim as the saddle bone I had turned out to be plastic. I plays much cleaner lap style. I need to bring the action down a tad for finger fretting.

She's played some sweet tunes in her lifetime!

Geez!

The dishing goes all the way through the 8th fret. The frets are grooved to the fifth fret. Yet this old gal plays ok. Go figure. The dishing was caused by long fingernails. The strings were  not pulled or pushed.
