I agree, Dave.  I was leery about the top caving in from bridge pressure.  Will consider doing the banjo bridge.  Maybe.  Chicken little!

Andy. AGP, Bones (true), Dave, Richard:  Thanks, gents.  I strung it up high G-DGB and it plays pretty well and sounds pretty good.  The B string is buzzing and I think I will change the strings to DGBE and DGBD - tenor banjo tuning - Chicago tuning.
