The Mallard

Uncle John gifted me this cool axe. Wm Penn deep cigar box. I went and cut an Uncle John git fiddle in half ! And got two things out of it. I added an MGB Bucker in the sound hole sitting on the neck through stick.and remade the tail. Unc has used a little brass hinge that was starting to pull out of the wood. I changed to a scrap cutoff fretboard with one screw and glue.

That is funky cool and I bet it sounds great.  I long back quit using hinges for tails.
