Went to the local music store today and asked if they had any instruments heading to the dumpster. Scored a scalloped electric base neck and a cello, both of which look like they're spent a good long time stored in a barn... and by that I mean beautiful. Looks like I'm going to be building a couple of basses in the future. :D

Now that's a beautiful instrument Michael, nice work. Unfortunately Betty (the cello) is way beyond that. She's originally from the local high school and it appears that she wasn't treated too well. She's ready for a change... a new look... maybe join a rockabilly cbg band as a bass and tour the world...

 :D

Please don't murder the cello(yes I do want to make you feel guilty)Just fixed an old violin transformed from this to a useable instrument.Think I'll start a campaign "Save Korrigans Cello" :-).

Wow Korrigan. Great score! Love that big cello! Bass envy! I’d keep the beautiful cello body and neck together. Cracks are easy from inside or out. Kleets and glue. But you’ll have your way with it. :*)

super cool.,.,cleating those cracks is easy but a rockabilly bass sounds cool.,.,.I saw a neat cadi gas tank bass.,.,,

The cello body has a couple of cracks and while I'm sure it could be repaired by somebody more skilled than I... what's the fun in that? I want to replace the body with a steamer trunk or beer keg or something. :D

That's cool...might as well get some use out of stuff instead of it sitting in a landfill
