Pretty much done. I may decorate it a bit. My first impressions are good sound and decent playability. Just right for a combination of fingering and slide. I had to put the Fender style string trees on it or one or more strings had string jump (jumped off the nut).

The Lowe cone and tuners were saved from a previous build that I junked for parts. It did not sound as good as I thought it should. Probably due to a quarter inch ply top. This one is an eight inch and the box is newly made and smaller.

Tuned Chicago style DGBE and/or open G~ DGBD. Pretty good little git for a one weekend build.

I may paint the biscuit (piece of ruler) black. Have not decided.

Oh crap. Just plugged it in to sample that sound. Disc piezo. Sounds like crap. I have a uke rod piezo and equalizer ordered. Will likely pop the top (4 screws) and put in the uke electrics.

Glad you are good to go, Dave.  I like that sun burst on your current build.  I wish I had tried that on this one.  I am not sure what I will do with  this one as for decoration.

Beautiful Uncle. I’m back online. Frustrating days without my net. My pad is all cleaned out and ready for vids and photos. I think i’ve Become addicted to the net. I was owly the whole time it was down. I’ve got a new build going. Paint’s drying. It’s a Gitty Paint lid in a MGB body kit. Gotta order a Wicked Bucker for it. Nice to build again.

Thanks, guys.  Yes, Dennis.  Small 4 strings from a six pack.  Easy to play in either tuning.   DGBE lets me play in any key - capo used for some keys.  And a quick retune of the small string puts me ready to slide in open G - generally my best singing key.

Nice Hat, Nice Pussy Cat Slide Oh!, and Nice Build, I like the idea of the Rod Piezo And EQ, have used them on a few builds, easy to install, and they sound nice, I'm sure we'll get a sound sample when its all sorted :-)
