I've got a teak stain that would do that.

i did ask myself- why would you need to go back into a wholly acoustic git? Ain't nuthin' in there but wood! And it is whale built...

You glued the top?!?!   OMG, Wal !!  

;)    Kidding.  Nothing wrong with that except when mediocre or bad luck builders like me glue the top - a need to open it comes along.  I think a dark tone like the neck would look good for a saddle.  

If I offended you in any way, it was not on porpoise.

Thanks, UJ- those are fair points, well made. I might just spend the evening whittlin' on a piece of oak for a new saddle. After all, nothing's set in stone, is it? (Though I did glue the top on this one...)

Great sound holes, Wal.  Yup, on the through the neck thing reducing some problems.  I use bolts all the time for my 'rustic' builds.  I think this pretty build deserves a prettier saddle/bridge.  I hope you come back to it and improve that one feature.
