Kartereo, not a dumb question. It's a catering-size tin about 6 inches in diameter, like a big baked bean tin. Obviously the top was removed to get the contents out. I've up-ended it and dropped it into the box, trimmed down a bit to get the right height. Also got a couple of notches cut in the lower rim to let the sound out into the box. Hope that explains things better.

dumb question, is there anything under the coffee can lid? or is it just empty space.....that a great Idea by the way.
