Thanks for the reply Rich. The reason I'm wanting more info is because I happen to love the reso sound and also because I went to the local good will and bought about twenty pan lids!!! Soooo....if you don't mind, I have some more questions for clarification. Does the lid sit on the neck or touch the neck in any way? It sounds like your neck is not connected to the tail of the box....so, a screw on neck (like you said!)? I'm picturing in my mind, the two 1/8" strips running fr4ont to back? Did you just pinch the lip of the lid with some screw heads or am I way off? Sorry to bug you....but thanks in advance!

it sounded great, i was surprised - no build pics - it was a simple build, the lid is screwed on 2 strips of 1/8" scrap on the bottom, neck is screwed to a block glued inside - lid does not touch the top so that is the sound hole - a good build for those royal salute boxes
