A Bass like the Mexican bass guitars...use Ukulele bass strings as they are synthetic stretchy stuff...dont quote me!!...I thinks thats a do-er

I`ve thought that very same thing for one of my cigar box cello`s I make....I just got some of those real big edge boxes. Reso cello...lol

see how the foot is down quite a bit below guitar, but if you used that as an actual scale, that would make for an awesome double bass body.
