That's a sweet looking teardrop! And I like the idea you used for the tail-piece.

The only time I tried to form a teardrop body ended up a pitiful failure as the sides would flare out on one side or the other. So, either I need a better form for forcing the shape into the wood when it dries, or I need a different kind of wood. I'm not sure what kind of wood I was using (in China I am often faced with a language barrier that leaves me in the dark), but it was a dark hardwood with nice grains and it seems a bit on the brittle side. The grain was also running diagonal to the cut of the wood, which as I reflect on it may be why the sides never would co-operate and dry vertically (w/o flaring out). So, maybe I need to try it again. Any words of advice?

That's intense. 24 frets on a 14" scale.   Looks good.
