You know you did a good job if you get it right with no filing to take care of fret buzz. Of three cbgs Ive built this week I have had to file one fret and the action is very close.

Why put in frets if the dont work properly is what I think. The closer the better.

The med. gold fret wire from gitty works very well. Better than the med. chrome. For some reason I can get the strings closer with it and it plays easier.
