Yea I know! The carpenter down the road sorts me out with the same price he gets the wood at because I gave him a guitar for his son!

eerrr I didn’t think to jot the sizes down it was an inch and a half thick, so two splices are needed for three strings, witch will accommodate a six stringer as well. I got about six through body guitar necks out of it and if you can see the off cuts I’m hoping to get a few uke sized neck out of it too, with just enough scrap wood for the bridges!

i went to the local carpenter and he said £50 for this big plank of flat sawn maple, but as you can see the way im cutting them they end up as tho there quarter sawn!
