I understand what you're saying DT. I love all critters. Different perspectives.

uh, hes not using it to 'look cool' he's used it to make a musical instrument.  Perhaps you think it makes him 'look cool'..

skulls are (along with rotten logs and sea shells) among the most ancient of musical resonators.  And dude, its a goat.  Not your mum.

I fully understand the use of other animal parts on instruments is common. My point is it's a skull and an you're just using it to look 'cool' . That is the same as hanging a deer head on your wall as a trophy...a practice that is beginning to be viewed as 'uncool' by many people these days. Treating animals with dignity...including allowing them to have dignity in death is a sign of compassion and intelligence. Would you like to see your dead mother's skull on the head of a guitar? Wouldn't that be disgusting? Why not give respect to every one of God's creatures? That's all I'm talking about.

oh yeah, cat or goat gut for strings which I think is pretty freaky

also cat skin for the shamisen, or goat skin on many types of instruments

only difference I suppose is the skull still looks like an animal

The Japanese have found a use for cats in instrument making.

I vote for the goat. Never did like cats much. And Oily's rant ranks up there with old goats everywhere. :^)

Now THAT is exploiting...well...something. Hmmm. Goat Skull git vs. Hello Kitty uke...I know which one I'd pick.
