I thought this would make a good banjo but I needed a 6 string for an upcoming show. That's an old sock stuck under the strings behind the bridge in an attempt to dampen some metallic overtones.

Woh! Treasure in the trash pile. I might have the seed for a new song!

I'm 100% with you Jack! It is a fine line, but those of us who see treasure in the trash pile understand. Today's disposable society tries to make us seem like the wierd ones but I think we might be on to something!

Crazy or creative? I guess there's a fine line, but making stuff out of other people's junk is not only a so-called "green" endeavor, but brings joy to the makers and those who receive the benefits from the wacky creations. It's all fun in my eyes, and of course hearkens back to the days when there was almost no garbage.

Oh yeah Jack, I also liked the sewing machine drawers hooked together! It gave me some ideas for the drawers out of an old bureau in my "junk" pile. A comfort to know there are other mostly crazy folks out her!

Thanks Jack!  Yeah, I saw the pictures of the toaster you're working on. Very cool!

That's a beauty! I love the junk CBGs. I'm making one out a vintage toaster at the moment.
