The finish tip is from John McNair at Red Dog guitars, it was in one of his videos. Lots of good info on his site and some really cool guitars and amps. John

Thank you all. Tone is kind of a cross between a banjo and a guitar, a little tinny but sounds good. Volume with the piezo is OK but I really prefer the flatpup pickups. It is for my uncle who wanted the acoustic sound. I reworked the original to what you see here using some things I saw at the St Louis group meeting, lots of really great guitars there. Also after the paint was really dry (2 days) I scrubbed it lightly with a scotch brite pad and dish washing liquid. Gives it a really silky feel but leaves the flat paint look. Got that tip from Red Dog guitars.
