#19 Son of Regal lap steel

Finished the bridge, dots and knobs this morning. Solid Mahogany body and neck (one piece), Walnut finger board, Padauk control plate. Mahogany tailpiece. Gretsch single coil pickup.

Comment by Dave Lynas on May 3, 2012 at 11:22am: Thanks Delvero, William and Bouydog. The scale is right off the Regal. 23 inches even. It makes for a compact instrument. Easy slants for those Hawaiian chords. I just line up the Regal alonside my new neck and use a T square to transfer the fret markers. Then I use a knife file to file a groove through my varnish into the wood. It makes a nice contrasting lighter line.
