That's a beautiful guitar. Nice work. I hope she sounds as good as she looks. Congratulations!

 

P.S. Are there other CBG builders and players there in Moscow or Russia? If so, it would be great to see if any of them could set up a Russian group on Cigar Box Nation (or elsewhere and let us know about it) to (among other things) provide some easy 3-string guitar tabs of traditional Russian folk music. They could have a balalaika discussion group as well and we could retune our 3-string CBGs to E-E-A and learn to play some Russian music for a change. Maybe there are these kinds of sites already. If so, I'd like to know about them.

I was also wondering if this machine translation of what I wrote is understandable, if not correct Russian? From what little high school Russian I had many years ago, some of it seems to make sense.

Есть ли другие строители CBG и игроки там в Москве или России? Если так, было бы большое видеть если таковые имеются их, мог настроить российскую группу на Нации Коробки Сигары (или в другом месте и сообщить нам об этом), (помимо всего прочего) обеспечивать некоторые легкие счета гитары с 3 вереницами традиционной российской народной музыки. Они могли иметь семинар балалайки также, и мы могли перемелодия наш CBGs с 3 вереницами к E-E-A и учиться играть некоторую российскую музыку для разнообразия. Может быть есть эти виды мест уже. Если так, я хотел бы знать о них.

 

I live in Shenzhen, China (near Hong Kong), and there are a fair number of Russians working here, so it would be cool to be able to relate to them musically, if not verbally.
