Aww now Bob! You made me feel guilty. I laughed my butt off, but that is a bit sad as well...

Ray if you curled this into a one inch coupling you could have sold it for a hundred bucks in Texas.

Thank you, Gary! I like working with metal. 20 years a "tin-bender" and machinist. It got under my skin a long time ago. Now, it's mostly wood, for fun.

For those interested in the progress of patina, the copper was polished in June of 2018, a few days before build. Average humidity.

Pretty cool idea, Southern Ray!  I do like the look!

Thank you AGP! I just did a quick count and eleven of the fifteen working CBGs I have currently have the copper tailpiece. They are all from the same piece of seventy or eighty year old household copper pipe.

Nice Southern Ray, love the Copper Tail Pieces. :-)

I screwed that up. The first pic I posted was a year ago. This comparison of patina was taken today. The well-used thing is starting to show it's age.

That's what I am talking about.  I use scrap heating vent metal.  That copper looks a bit better and may look great with patina.  Nice copper wings holding down the pick up.
