I used the "quarter at the 12th fret" trick to set the string height on Laura's Deep-Pink/Red "MO" CBG . . . the string action is very comfortable to play at this height (and no string buzz either!).

I hope the blues comes out as well as the pink.

Wait a minute . . . I thought you insert coins to have it play music for you . . . no wonder it continues to hang silently on the living room wall (until I can drive up to give it to my granddaughter) while hanging on to my quarter!  I thought it was already broken, or it needed to be plugged in to get it to play my Blues song selection(s) . . . ;-)

I gave the deep red one just built for my oldest granddaughter Laura a pink-washed neck as well.  This is the pink-washed neck of the deep red Monticristo Epic box build that I just posted those recent pictures in regard to these past few days.

This makes TWO builds where I have pink-washed the necks for the two oldest granddaughters.  The first one was the hot pink painted craft box with a butterfly on it build for Allison that had the matching hot pink headstock (you can see it hanging on the wall in the background above the 11th fret in the above photo)...

My next neck-washing build (already in progress) will be for my grandson TJ, who wants his neck to be blue-washed to match his blue Macanudo cigar box he picked out for his own boy-only version of his own CB guitar . . .

Oh, is this the one with pink wash neck?   Color looks great here.  I would be pleased.

That DOES look  just right.  Remove the coin to play.

Oh . . . forgot to mention that this is a zero-fret + white nut (to maintain string alignment) CBG neck build . . . so the string action at the headstock area is optimal without pulling the notes sharp on any string when fretted on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd frets. . .
