Brass Hammer

I unearthed this tiny hammer on an around the block walk. It’s brass and beautiful. Quite old I think.. the handle had broken but still there. I burned out the wood and polished it with 400 grit. Anyone know what it was used for? I’ll use it on fretting.

Comment by Keith Rearick on April 20, 2020 at 7:41am: Lots of shops use them for tapping on metal and aluminum, so as not to mark up the item. Worked for Werner Ladder, and when assembling ladders, if a rivet didn't want to go thru, we would use one, to tap it thru.
