Comment by Southern Ray on September 4, 2020 at 4:54pm: Amp building is proving to be elusive. A couple of days after I got my first amp working, I destroyed it trying to install it into a cabinet. Since then I have tried three more times to make an amp and succeeded only in making battery warmers. Oh well. Might try again this weekend if the arthritis relents.

Comment by Southern Ray on August 9, 2020 at 5:29pm: Got my first amp build working last night. LM386 based on BrianQs LM386 layout that I slightly modified. THANK YOU Brian, Paul Craig, John Sawyer and all the rest that have helped me with this. Sounded pretty good and I'm still stoked, but had to put it on a short hold before I can install it into a cabinet. Life interrupts and arthritis flares... Still STOKED!

Comment by Southern Ray on June 23, 2020 at 7:38pm: Got a larger Punch box a couple of weeks ago and lucked out and got the other a couple of days later. Will be stuffing a C.B. Gitty speaker in this one and stick a fretted Gitty neck, (another first for me), in the other. Will add a home-grown scatterwound and hope for the best. Fingers crossed I don't let the magic smoke out on the first start-up of the amp.
