One of the larger mistakes I made is clearly visible in this picture. Originally I was going to use an acrylic tail piece screwed into the holes on the left side of the lid. I didn't think about how brittle acrylic can be - it broke just screwing it in place.

Thanks for the tip on Lexan - I haven't used that before. I probably should have looked into that for the original bathroom project that generated all the acrylic scraps in my garage.

Next time use Lexan, it won't shatter like regular plexi or acrylic.
