Meant to sell this one. I figured it was too "pretty" for me to want to keep. Strung it up, plugged it in, and it's the richest sounding electric I have built. Yeh, it's gawdy, but I love the sound.

How right you are, Bob. I don't like flashy  stuff that stands out. The rest of my builds are almost all brown and black boxes, cohibas and padrons etc.. That's alright though. This one has endeared itself with how she plays and the sound she makes. Like you said, -   but If it sounds good and feels good to the player...

I'm just a "bedroom" player that does this with my wife for enjoyment. Good fun.

Looks can draw attention depending on who they appeal to, but If it sounds good and feels good to the player... probably worth holding on to for a bit longer.

Bob, Thanks a lot for the compliment! You got me on the spot now, what with you going with one of these due to seeing mine. acoustically, she is very quiet, but has a nice low and warm sound. I'm sure the Gitty blues low/med/med strings probably have something to do with that. Same with the low-z scatterwound I put in it. It's easily the heaviest of my guitars. You could probably bludgeon a bull with it, it's so solid. The sustain is incredible with the maple neck...

Thank you for the kind words, Uncle John!

I don't have a problem keeping them. I have a problem letting them go!

I'm more into a dark "earthy" look and natural earth-tone  colors, but she looks nice and plays even better.

Very nice looking build Ray!  I’m having a hard time deciding what I want to build next so I told myself I would go on the nation and the first instrument I saw would be it.  I just happen to have a few of these boxes so I don’t know whether to thank you or not.  I guess in a couple weeks I’ll know for sure.

Good on yer, Ray.  I can't seem to keep and play the pretty ones either.  But this one is not flashy,  It has some color, but is still just about right.  Simple and good.

Thank you, AGP! That's very nice of you. I'm sure you build quite a few that you really don't want to let go of. I've seen your work. Now THAT's some good stuff.

"Very Nice", I'd find it very hard to part with that one Ray.  :-)
