Thanks All! Uncle John, the 4 marks are for the 4 and 5 spot, the octave and the 2nd octave respectively. Tuned E B E means the marks (dead-on) are low-to-high A B E and an octave  E

On small scale gits like this one (and many that I make for myself or to give away) they seem pretty forgiving finding the other notes/chords w. no more than these marks. I got lazy so haven't screwed my typical little chrome or black screws in place of those sharpie marks just yet! And yes, played in the lap or can be upright if you angle your slide properly. Intriguing.  I see fret markers.  How do you play it?  Lap slide?
