Comment by the anonymous pick on March 22, 2015 at 2:01am: i like the black foils in the same style too . ironicly , they are more rare than the golds , yet cheaper . but golds have the ss4l , houndoug , and cooder fame attached . and some say are " prettier ".

sound wise , some blacks seem on par with the golds , some other skinny versions , not so much ,, but still a distinct vintage sound .

I think the black foils are about the same sound, without individual pole screws, but still vintage good. Pick, what,s your thoughts?
