Cutting pickguards / using vinyl

So I have a 3 part question, I guess.1. What's the best way to design a custom pickguard2. How do I cut said pickguard3. I'm planning to use an old LP for the pickguard, any specific hints?This is one of those projects I'm tackling now we're all in lockdown. "OK, I ordered the jack thru Amazon, it came on Monday, still can't figure out how they do it that fast. Fits great, it was a hair thicker than the original, I think it's a metric vs. imperial issue maybe, so I had to ream out the jack…"
