lol . indeed , has room for at-least 4 more ;-)
hey seth . hard to tell without detailed pics , but alot of folks use these old guits as sliders and convert them . if your *action is that high, and neck is still good , and you cabt go lower , i suspect someone put a higher bridge on for sliding . (or to compensate for a buggered up neck or frets .)
try a lower bridge . or even a temporary screw or eye bolt etc as a bridge before taking things apart .
Intonation or string height is bad or both? Shimming the neck is doable. If you need a bridge, there are some Asian made bridges out there with the same spacing or close. take some measurements and do some searches.
Hey guys! Been a while since I was on the forum as I have been all busy making music! Anyway, I just picked up an old Kent branded guitar and it needs a little work and thought I would ask for some ideas. The intonation is real real bad, as in super high. I am un able to adjust the plastic bridge enough to get the strings low or the 12 fret anywhere close to in tune. Neck seems fairly good though. Does anyone have some ideas for how to shim the neck or adjust the guitar to make it so I can play it along side my beloved Danelectro?
this just in , from the weird desk .....

So I took my guitars on the road this weekend and sold three at a music festival in Grafton Ontario. Along with my own personal builds I also brought along a Teisco that I refurbished last year. Originally found abandoned in a snowbank, I stripped the nasty looking blue enamel and sanded it back to bare plywood, reset the intonation and crafted a new pickguard with all new electronics from CBGitty. Here it is in action on the Slow Lane Music booth:
