This is the bridge I have on my Silvertone, it's a great little bridge.

Is the bridge fixed to the body atall? Looks like it's one of those you can slide, if so that's your intonation.

ps  ..  your  guitar  is a  Kent Vegas 530  if you  want to  compare  it to  others  .

hummm..  that  is a  60's  kent  bridge  ..   so..  it's   puzzling   why  everything would be out  of whack   if the neck  is  fine.  unless it's  the  other  end   (the nut  ),   or  a   wrong  replacement   neck  .

 a mystery  indeed  .  sleuth  on  ;-)

Obviously, it's a no-brainer. What is the distance between the strings and frets at the 1st fret and the 21st-22nd fret?

Ill have to take a look at guitar fetish!

The wheels are all the way down and I still have a lot of string lowering to go. My other concern becomes, at this point, the strings actually contacting the bridge after the tail pice so I think I will try shims first and then a new bridge if needed. Hopefully I get myself a hot/fun guitar out of this that can gig about with me. My last name is Kent so obviously I needed this guitar...

Looks like an attempt to make an intonation capable bridge. I'm thinking that the string height is the solution to both of your problems.

Are the adjustment wheels froze in place? Would try some WD40 or other lube spray to free up the wheels.

Or are the wheels all the way down? I would see if it is possible to remove the adjusters and dab a little dot of glue to hold the bridge in place. Worst case - replace bridge entirely.

There's a thread over on TDPRI about someone rebuilding a similar guitar and replaced the bridge with a Fender Jaguar style bridge from Guitarfetish.com. That bridge had a very close string spacing. Also many of the Japanese bridges and pickups had string spacing similar to Gibson P90's(50mm). Just measure the spacing you have and see what you can find. Good luck.

The bridge is cheap and white. Ill snap a photo and try to post it. Hope  it is not as ridiculously huge as it looks right now...

That's definitely a weird one Uranus, has a Eastman vibe to it. Like the Mustang/Jazzmaster style tremolo.
